This guide provides basic instruction about the CSE (Council of Science Educators) Citation Style.

Edition

The edition is a form or version of a previously published work. Place this information after the title. Abbreviate the word “edition” and any other descriptive words.

Examples

Print publications:

  • Eighth Edition is abbreviated as 8th ed
  • Third American Edition is abbreviated as 3rd Am ed

Electronic publications:

  • Version 4.0 is abbreviated as Ver 4.0
