This guide provides basic instruction about the CSE (Council of Science Educators) Citation Style.

Name-Year

Format:

Author(s). Date. Article title. Journal title. Volume(issue):location.

Example:

From CSE Manual 8th Ed., Ch. 29.3.7.1 Journals

*Note: Biology students will most often use this style of citation.

Citation-Sequence

Format:

Authors. Article title. Journal title. Date;volume(issue):pagination.

Example:
