The Digital Initiatives Department oversees the digital collections at Texas Wesleyan University and houses the Digital Archive, Academic Archive, and Digital Exhibits. The Digital Initiatives Department also oversees the TXWES Makers Lab.
Digital Collections
The Digital Archive holds the digital files of the Special Collections & University Archives.
The Academic Archive is the university's institutional repository where all outstanding academic work created by our faculty, staff, and students can be accessed.
The Digital Exhibits are a collection of exhibits showcasing special items from Texas Wesleyan University's students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community.

TXWES Makers Lab
The TXWES Makers Lab is located on the first floor of the Eunice & James L. West Library and is a space where the Texas Wesleyan community has the opportunity to explore, invent, collaborate, and learn. There are several skills that can be introduced and honed through the Makers Lab, including but not limited to:

The Periodicals Department is located on the second floor of the West Library. Periodicals consist of journals, newspapers, magazines, indexes, and abstracts. Those periodicals held in print and microform formats are available on the second floor, and cannot be checked out from the library.
The Adkinson-Lynton Comic Collection is our newest collection, the bulk of which was generously donated by Dr. Cary D. Adkinson and Dr. Eddy J. Lynton. It is comprised of a variety of comic titles from publishers such as:
The collection also includes a selection of pop culture DVD/Blu-ray videos, as well as action figures, props, and other comic and pop culture memorabilia for display.
It is located in room 217 and is not available for checkout or digitally, so please visit the West Library to access it.
