Title
- In general, record the words of a title as they appear in the original document.
Exceptions
- Consider such items as "final report" or "annual report" following titles as edition statements, and NOT part of the title.
- When a publication does not appear to have any title, then "construct" a title from the first few words of the text., and place them within square brackets.
- For books and journal articles, capitalize only the first word of a title. Also capitalize proper nouns, proper adjectives, acronyms, and initialisms
