What is Consumer Behavior?

Consumer behavior is the study of the factors and elements that influence the actions and decisions made by people and/or households when they purchase, use, and discard products. Many psychological, sociological, and cultural elements play a role in how consumers engage with the market.

There are four main types of consumer behavior: complex-buying behavior, dissonance-reducing behavior, habitual buying behavior, and variety-seeking behavior.
