The West Library Reference Department is available to help online during the library's virtual service hours, and research assistance is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Email and In-Person Appointments

Email the Reference Desk with a reference question or to set up an in-person research consultation at reference@txwes.edu. This is an alternative to chat/IM if you want help specifically from the Reference Desk. This is not an immediate option as emails will be only answered during normal business hours.

Academic Success Center

  • Tutoring: Tutoring is offered at no charge for our students in math, biology, chemistry, physics, accounting, history, psychology and writing by upper-level TXWES students. Peer tutoring primarily takes place in person in the ASC in the West Library, but many tutors will provide virtual sessions via Teams. Those needing assistance after hours or in subjects not offered by peers may log in and schedule a tutoring appointment via Smarthinking.
  • Study Resources: Looking for study tips and resources? Study Resources provides information on the all the academic support free to you at Texas Wesleyan.
  • Workshops: Looking for extra academic support? Check out an online workshop or attend a face-to-face offering. Here you can see the schedule for workshops from Academic Success, West Library, Career Services, and faculty.

  • Career Services: You don't have to prepare for life after college by yourself. Let Career Services help you find the right job or graduate school. Career Services is for students and alumni. 
  • Counseling: Clinical services are provided by master-level and doctoral-level counseling students from the Graduate Counseling department. The Community Counseling Center director or a doctoral student may see Wesleyan faculty and staff per their request. All students (including Distance Learners), faculty and staff are entitled to free personal counseling services on campus at the Texas Wesleyan University Community Counseling Center.
