File Guidelines: Document Recovery

Depending on your situation there are a couple options for document recovery:

  1. Autosave is a feature with Microsoft Office, it allows you to recover your unsaved new document in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, or PowerPoint if you inadvertently close it before saving it:
  2. Backups - hopefully you have saved backup copies of your files in a different location and can access them there.
  3. I.T. Help Request - The University IT Department offers help to students, faculty, and staff who are in need of technical assistance. You can submit a help request form here.
