Project for Dr. DeLotto's Creative Writing Class

English:

  • Pick an element from a short story and make something representing that element on the 3D Printer.
  • Creative Writing: Display creative work in a non-traditional way.

    • A Student printed their poem on ribbon using the direct-to-garment printer, and that ribbon was used as the tongue of a sculpture.

    • Create their own paper with papermaking kit, then used lemon juice to write their work in invisible ink.

Art:

  • Create by sketching, drawing, painting something that symbolizes something personal, digitize it, and them create something on the direct-to-garment printer or Glowforge with the drawing.
  • Students create a classroom badge with adjectives and graphics that represent them.

Science:

  •  Create a board game on biology and make the items for the game with equipment in the lab.
  • Create and customize a balloon powered car and test which cars go the farthest.
  • Create a workable simple machine.

Business or Economics:

  • Design a logo for a business created by the students. Students can create fliers, buttons, etc with logo on it.

History:

  • Create something to symbolize a period in history (Reconstruction, Industrial Revolution, etc.)
  • Create a board game based on the era of Reconstruction.
