Requesting an Article from another Library

The West Library has many magazines and journals, either physically on the second floor, or through many of our databases.  However, some journals are not available in full text in our databases.  How do you get access to these articles?

The West Library offers a service where we will obtain articles that you need from other libraries.  This service is called InterLibrary Loan.  To use InterLibrary Loan, you do the following:

  • 1. Go to the West Library homepage, http://westlibrary.txwes.edu
  • 2. Find the Borrow from Another Library link under Favorite Links and click on it.
  • 3. On the InterLibrary Loan page, follow the directions on this page. If you have determined that the West Library does not have the item, then click on the Request an Article link
  • 4. Fill out the form, noting that the items in the form that have an asterisk *, which are required items, and then click on the submit button at the bottom of the form.
