Launched in 2004, Google books began by contracting to scan the entire book collections of several large academic libraries. It now has scanned 25 million items in 400 languages and from 100 countries, and it intends to scan all of the estimated 130 million book titles that are in existence.

Google Images is a search service owned by Google and introduced on July 12, 2001, that allows users to search the Web for image content.[1] The keywords for the image search are based on the filename of the image, the link text pointing to the image, and text adjacent to the image. When Google performs a search, it displays not only images, but allows you to narrow your search further by displaying subtopics at the top of the page that you can click on.

Google Videos was geared towards providing a large archive of freely searchable videos. Besides amateur media, Internet videos, viral ads, and movie trailers, the service also aimed to distribute commercial professional media, such as televised content and movies.
