Reference librarians focus on helping people find information. My work includes assisting with research, citation management, using online databases, and guiding patrons in developing effective search strategies. I also promote information literacy through workshops and classroom instruction, help users navigate technology, and collaborate with other departments.
Library faculty work with teaching faculty to tailor library instruction to the needs of the class and faculty goals. We strive to provide instruction that is timely, complete, and specific.
I provide library instruction to courses under the following programs:
A library liaison is a library faculty member who is officially designated as the key point of contact between the library and a specific academic unit, which could be a school, department, or center. The liaison also serves as an “ambassador” for the Library to the unit, promoting the Library’s resources, services, and events and advocating for support of the Library’s needs.
