Library Work Focus

My Work as Library Director focuses on growing, managing, and leading the Eunice and James L. West Library. This includes overseeing budgeting, staff management, collection development, information technology, and strategic planning to meet the academic and research needs of the students, faculty, and staff. I also collaborate with university stakeholders and promote library resources and services. I formally and informally promote the university to the community, city, regional, state, and national functions, representing the library to various constituencies.

TLA President 2024-2025. My mission is to support library workers across the state, amplify their voices, and support them as they provide their community with the best resources and services.

Library Liaison

A library liaison is a library faculty member who is officially designated as the key point of contact between the library and a specific academic unit, which could be a school, department, or center. The liaison also serves as an “ambassador” for the Library to the unit, promoting the Library’s resources, services, and events, and advocating for support of the Library’s needs.

I am the liaison for:

  • Deans & Provost Council
  • Games
  • Mitchell Reed Community of Learners
  • Student Life
