Library Snap Shot Day will be Monday, Sept. 24. Snap Shot Day is an annual event celebrated by libraries across the country. Statistics are taken throughout the day of library activities to form a 'Snap Shot' of a typical day in the West Library. Whether you check out a book, use a computer, ask a reference question or just walk through the door, you will be counted.

The purpose of the one-book program is to bring the Texas Wesleyan community together and to encourage students, staff and faculty to join together to read and discuss the same book.

Join us for a Mitchell-Reed Community of Learners Lecture on Mar. 1 from 12:15pm - 1:15pm in the Library Orientation Room.  Dr. Bruce McDonald, Professor of Philosophy and Religion, will present on his travel experiences to Japan.  Brown bag lunches are welcome, light refreshments provided by the Office of the Provost.  

Dr. McDonald holds a Doctorate in Ecclesiastical History from The University of Edinburgh, a Master of Divinity Theology from Asbury Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Music from The University of Texas at Austin.

Have you published poetry? Are you part of the Texas Wesleyan community? The West Library will have its first ever Texas Wesleyan Local Poet’s Day, featuring poetry by authors who have a connection to Texas Wesleyan. Faculty, staff and students are invited to participate if they have published poetry in literary journals, magazines, book form both traditional or self-published. There will be time for authors to sell their books.
