Join West Library for the Second Annual Wesleyan Local Author day as we celebrate students, staff, and alumni who have published with a small, indepentend press or have self-published.  This year's authors include Perry Cockerell, Jacque Dodson, Linda Lee, Tamika Roberts, with special guest Michelle Hartman.  The event will consist of a panel discussion and book sale.

Join us for a Mitchell-Reed Community of Learners Lecture at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at the Bernice Coulter Templeton Art Studio.  Artists Genevieve Armstrong and Juan Cruz will be present to give an artist talk on the art exhibition, ANIMUS, curated by Tom Motley.  Brown bag lunches are welcome; light refreshments will be provided by the Office of the Provost.

Join us for a Mitchell-Reed Community of Learners Lecture on Mar. 1 from 12:15pm - 1:15pm in the Library Orientation Room.  Dr. Bruce McDonald, Professor of Philosophy and Religion, will present on his travel experiences to Japan.  Brown bag lunches are welcome, light refreshments provided by the Office of the Provost.  

Dr. McDonald holds a Doctorate in Ecclesiastical History from The University of Edinburgh, a Master of Divinity Theology from Asbury Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Music from The University of Texas at Austin.

The West Library will have its first ever Texas Wesleyan Local Poet’s Day, featuring poetry by authors who have a connection to Texas Wesleyan. Faculty, staff and students are invited to participate if they have published poetry in literary journals, magazines, book form both traditional or self-published. There will be time for authors to sell their books.
