Writing advice and assistance is available at the Academic Success Center. The Reference Department will help with Works Cited pages. Neither the ASC or the Library provides proofreading services. Your friends, family members and classmates are your best resource for proofreading.
Use the Library Catalog to find a book. Click on the title of the book to see the Call Number and Location of the book. Maps by the stairwells on the 3rd floor will help you find where materials are located. If you need more help finding books, please ask at the Reference or Circulation desk.
If you know the title of the article and the name of the journal you are looking for: Go to the library's web page. Click on the link for Periodical Finder. Type in the name of the journal you are looking for and hit search. Click the name of the database. Click on "search within this publication." Type in the title of the article and click search. EBSCO can mean quite a few different databases. For your most general searches, you can search in Academic Search Complete. ERIC, PsycArticles, and MedLine are all EBSCO databases. See the Database Guide for basic tips about searching databases.For more help, please ask a Reference Librarian.
The Reference Department has put together several guides to children's literature, which can be found in the Juvenile collection of the library. You can also use the Juvenile Library Catalog to search for books. For all other questions, please contact the Reference Department.
First, check your assignment and syllabus to see what guidelines or requirements your professor has given for using web resources. Not all professors/assignments permit webpages to be used as sources.

When searching the library catalog, e-books will have the location ONLINE and there will be a blue button that says Online Content. Clicking that button brings you to the book's item details screen.
