Frequently Asked Questions - Photocopiers, Printers, Etc.

There are three student printers in the library. One is on the first floor on the North wall, to which all computers on the first floor print. The computers on the North side of the second floor print to the printer on the North wall; the computers in the center and the Macintosh computers on the second floor print to the printer by the Periodicals Desk. Additional computers and printers are located in the Academic Success Center. Printing stations are also located in most campus buildings.

There is no printing limit. Each student's fees include 500 pages (black and white) each semester. Additional pages can be purchased and added to your account at the Circulation Desk for 5¢ a page.

You can add money to your printing account at the Circulation Desk, on the first floor of the library. The cost is 5 cents per page. There is a $5.00 transaction minimum. The Circulation Desk accepts cash and checks; if paying by credit card, please go to the Cashier's Office to pay and bring your receipt to the Circulation Desk to have your account credited.

Color printing is not available in the library; however, color copies can be made on the copier on the library's first floor.

When printing out an entire class presentation for notes, we suggest printing handout pages. To do this in PowerPoint go to File --> Print. Click on the second pull-down menu under Settings. Select the number of slides per page you want. You can print up to 9 slides per page. Then click Print.

There are three photocopiers in the library. Two are in the west corner (next to the Coffee Bar) on the first floor. The third is on the North wall on the second floor.

Printouts are 5¢ per page, as are black and white copies. Color copies (available only on the first floor) are 50¢ a page.

A color copier is available on the first floor for 50¢/page. Color images saved on a flash drive can be printed on the copier. There are no color printers in the library.

Yes. Students can scan to an email address or a flash drive using the color copier on the library's first floor. The charge for scanning is 5¢ a page.

Faxes can be sent and received at the Circulation Desk on the first floor.

You can print anything from the internet-accessible computers on the first floor and the second floor.  You will need to log in with your user name and password to the "TXWESLEYAN" domain to print. The research computers on the third floor and the computer in the juvenile collection cannot be printed from.
