Frequently Asked Questions - Computers and Wireless Access
If you cannot log into the computers on campus or the library's off-campus access, contact the IT Help Desk at 817-531-4428 x 1. Your off-campus access library username and password are the same as your RamLink information.
To login to the library catalog to renew items, click on the "Renew Books" link on the upper-right-hand corner of the library's homepage. Use your student ID as your username and the first 8 letters of your last name as the PIN. If these do not work, click the Reset PIN link on the Renew Books page of the library website.
You can print anything from the full-function computers on the first and second floors. You can print database articles from the one library research only computers on the first floor and the seven library research computers on the second floor. You will need to log in with your user name and password to the "TXWESLEYAN" domain to print. The computers on the third floor and the computer in the Juvenile Collection cannot be printed from.
Word processing and presentation software are available on all full-function computers on the first floor and all computers on the second floor. Additional computers are available in the Academic Success Center (first floor of library, Northeast corner). Yes, you may listen to anything on the computers. You must use headphones (available for checkout from the Circulation Desk) or earbuds, and the volume must be kept at a reasonable level. We ask as a courtesy that other library patrons around you should not be able to hear what you are listening to.
Wireless internet access is available on all floors of the library.
Users are required to register their wireless devices once a year. Once you have successfully registered, you can access the Texas Wesleyan Wireless Network (TXWES-Secure). Use your RamLink username and password to log in.
